Equal parts emotional anchor and disarming truth teller, I’m known to subvert expectations. Like a young Jeffrey Wright, I shift seamlessly between worlds and identities. I’m often cast as confident leaders with edge and heart, carrying the charisma of Colman Domingo. Think the steady sponsor keeping everyone honest in Euphoria, a brilliant but overworked therapist in In Treatment, or a principled district attorney navigating pressure in The Good Fight.

Just as often, I’m the warm, hilarious friend who’s ready to read you, giving Natasha Rothwell in Insecure energy. I’m the one who says, “Bitch, you better stop playing with me,” with that Da’Vine Joy Randolph in High Fidelity edge that lets you know I can go from cracking you up to cracking your jaw in a split second. I fit naturally in character driven worlds where intelligence, humanity, and humor live side by side.

I began performing as a teenager in Buffalo, New York with Planned Parenthood’s Teen Reality Theatre and the American Red Cross Street Performance Troupe. I’m a proud graduate of Howard University, where I studied under Emmy Award–winning actor Al Freeman Jr. I’ve also trained at the British American Drama Academy in Oxford and am currently completing my MFA at the University of California, San Diego.

My theater work includes productions and workshops with La Jolla Playhouse, Marin Theatre Company, The Kennedy Center, Perseverance Theatre, The Flea Theater, Clubbed Thumb, African Continuum Theatre Company, and Virginia Stage Company.

I’m excited to collaborate with artists who take the work seriously and are kind to the people doing it.
